We were attacked by the living dead. The morgue... Before everyone else could go inside, there were bodies there, among other things.

They're gone now.

I couldn't say. We left it a mess. I checked again later, after getting cleaned up, but- it was clean.

But the bodies were no one that we'd recognize. Not from here. We think they might have been previous guests.

No way. If that's true, how many times has this dinner happened? Why does the Master keep hosting?

That part is still a mystery. It's hard to find out more information on it, though, considering our only consistently available sources are the sisters...

Do you think they'll tell us someday? Earlier, Peach went as far as to tell us not to use the antidote. Maybe she'd be willing to share more about what happened before.

I think they might be subject to certain rules, just as we are. It seems like they might be trying to help...

But it's hard to say for sure. It couldn't hurt to talk to them, though, as long as we compare what they're actually saying.

Um, how are they? They're always their usual selves during trial, but do they ever look stressed at all elsewhere?

I suppose they must be. Maybe that's something you could talk to them about.

Sunday post-execution, week 3

[ He would've liked full range of motion for both arms, he thinks as he eyes a koto in the music room. Instead he sits on a chair with his injured arm cradled to his chest, and he cants his head toward the doorway when a familiar face enters. ]

... Oh, it's you.

[ She was going to head for the flutes first, but... ]

How are you doing, Zenitsu?

I'm fine.

[ Well, his arm still throbs from the gunshot wound, but that's so yesterday already. A lot happened this morning. ]

What about you? That was a rough execution.

... People here are still unused to such things. I'm fine. I wasn't the one being attacked. But...

[ A lot happened is one way to describe it. ]

It would probably be less cruel to simply pick one or two people who volunteer themselves and designate them to be the one to do the deed, at the end of every week.

Peach said it was random unless someone volunteered. I guess it depends on whether you believe her about whether it's really random or if someone else picks...

If that's true, there didn't seem to be volunteers this time.

[ And what if there still aren't any by next week? What if someone like Ken is chosen next? That'd be too cruel. ]

... There weren't, I don't think.

Well. All the more reason to not let something like this happen again. Whatever happens, we'll at least have to have a set plan for who handles the execution this time.

[ and then galo volunteered and gave half the mansion heart attacks, rip ]
