I think that depends if you like the picture of the puzzle you completed. If you really want to go through the effort of knowing what it really looks like, even if you may never know the whole picture, you can take it apart and try to put it together again. Nobody is stopping you.
[The fox progresses through the forest, trees falling around it, before it gets back to the main road. One of the NPCs throws some kind of sticky substance at Anaido's fox, who swerves away from it, but this allows some of the others to pass it.]
But if you're happy with it as it is, you can leave it like that too. Uncompleted. Sometimes puzzles are just like that.
[ The cat has been very middling of the pack this entire time, neither lagging behind nor really standing out in front. One of the NPCs goes barreling by, pulled by some sort of stampeding animal, but outside of kicking up some of the vegetation does little to really daunt the cat as it speeds merrily along. ]
[One wonders why he hasn't used his invincibility spell as his fox swerves off the road from the blast of another racer's bomb - the turtle has to dive into the water to throw his fox back onto the road.]
Hahaha. I think I'm just an incomplete puzzle for now. It depends on what other people want to do with me, I think.
[New lap. He's not going the way he did before, off the beaten path. Now he's with the rest of the NPC racers, swerving around them with a good amount of skill to gain some places.]
Underestimated me? [Ah, of course. He almost expected to hear that from someone, at some point.] Hahaha, perhaps. I do things that will help us all, in the end. Burn down the forest to save the trees, perhaps? That's probably not the right saying.
It's certainly not a saying that I'm familiar with, but who can say? You're a lot more deliberate than you let on, aren't you?
[ If they weren't both focused on the screen to some extent right now she'd just be beaming cheerfully up at him. That said, she still does giggle a little, softly. ]
See, we've learned something about you already. For example, you don't balk at overly played out metaphors. That says a lot about a person, don't you think?
I'm a brilliant detective. If I wasn't deliberate, I wouldn't be a good one! Haha!
[But he isn't a good one, he knows that. At least, not a good one the way people think brilliant detectives are.]
Sometimes, metaphors mean more than people think they do. [He actually turns to her, grinning.] And I think you're right. Memories are one thing, but actions and words decide a person's character, right?
A squad shrouded in mystery. ▓▓▓▓▒ has met them once, and others can only guess at the members' identities from rumors. Members of the squad all have advanced AI and high capacity for independent operation. Rumor has it that Squad 404 usually deals with ░▓▒▓▓▓▒▓▓▒▒▒░░

And which of those might you be, Anaido?

The cat finds a hammer that gets swung onto the ground and sets everyone lightly spinning. Earthquake, mild but an interruption all the same. ]
It's simply too soon to decide, isn't it?

Maybe. But if people leave me untouched, the puzzle pieces might just build up. Better now than later, haha.
