But my, now I'm really curious what sort of critical thinking skill you think I'd have teach you. Isn't it the usual thing for last century's sci-fi to emphasize that while computers can think quickly, they can only do exactly what they're told to do and no more?

Poetry is fascinating. The use of rhyme and rhythm is really nice...though I'm a fan of tercets in particular, and terza rima. Three lines of poetry, and the terza rima being an interlocking three rhyme scheme. Like so:
[And he recites, off the top of his head, because of course he does:]
"A still small voice spake unto me: 'Thou art so full of misery, Were it not better not to be?’
Then to the still small voice I said: 'Let me not cast in endless shade What is so wonderfully made.’"
[He laughs.]
If you want something romantic or appreciative for a friend, though, there's plenty of poems to choose from.
Could try winking at someone, but that's used often enough to be conspicuous, especially if you have to do it a lot. There's options for more subtle things, but...
