Shadow was a little more helpful than this, it turns out? Maybe because I was specific, maybe because they had a limited stock, I'm not sure.

Solder plus soldering iron, screwdriver, electrical tape. Couldn't get any proper shielding for wires, so between the two kinds of tape we have we'll just have to do something makeshift for now.

Right, let's take a look at things. I have a general idea of what's wrong, considering my system internals keep warning me about it, but seeing it all again physically wouldn't hurt.

[ it's 'just' nicked wires, enough to be inconvenient, but not deep enough to damage any of the more complicated components, thankfully. she's just been avoiding using her arm because trying to pass electric through a damaged cable is a great way to start an electrical fire. or just cause shorts. they're gonna have to pull the 'skin' apart a little to do anything about it, though. ]

At least the duct tape can keep the wound closed once we fix the wires. Kind of like a bandage.

A bit of heat applied to the polymer can also help it bond a little, after. Not super well, since silicone based compounds tend to take a long time to cure and we're working with limited means, but it'll help jumpstart the process a little since we don't exactly have any repair bays available...

[ i'm saying her skin is some kind of newfangled extra-fleshy feeling silicone nonsense because canon will never tell me, all i know is that their skin texture and feel is subtly but noticeably off from a human's in some way, but to varying degrees based on the make of the doll. she's also saying all this very casually like it's perfectly normal to take hot objects to her skin.

anyway, regarding sparking wires: thankfully for everyone involved, no. just three severed wires, two that look like the outside insulation just got nicked a little underneath them. not too bad. ]

Hmm. We can splice those three and tape the others, it looks like.
