i've never played S*nic All-Stars Racing but I'm sure there's a character select screen so that's where they're at now. ]

Is the land particularly barren where you come from, or do you mean irrigation and similar technologies for making non-arable land, well, arable?

Kind of... Both? We're able to make powerful farming equipment and fertilizer with alchemy, but... [ Hrm. ] It's also because of alchemy that so much land still can't be recovered.

There's a lot of land that's been rendered uninhabitable by the fallout of a substance that people had been studying... I guess that much is similar, considering they'd studied it in hopes of being able to produce the scientific miracles it had been theorized to be capable of.

Some people will rush right ahead into things and pay no attention to the possible consequences until it's too late, I suppose.

Yeah. I think it's everyone's job to make sure they're being responsible with their abilities... Even things that may seem like they're good for everyone can have unintended side effects that we need to think about.
