There's at least one accounted for that I know has been used this week, even if I don't know by whom. It might be another power, but...
[ you know what, lemon bars are good. let's get the entire platter. ]
It might also be like how things were in the mansion. If we slept in a place outside of our rooms, we'd wake up with effects usually related to the place we spent the night in. Sometimes it was useful to help sort out what happened in the murder.
[He says it with finality, but his eyes are bright with understanding]
I've talked to a few shitheads, and a lot of their symptoms had to do with where they had fallen asleep.
[Unbidden, he lets out a sigh and feels his shoulders relax back into place. Damn, he hadn't realized how tense he'd been]
... Tch. This might be a problem later, though. If we've got this shit going on along with the powers, it'll be easier for someone to hide their abilities when it suits them.
[ wanders back into the hall. sets the platter down. shoves an entire square into her mouth. though she finishes chewing and swallowing before she speaks up again, because she's not a barbarian. ]
What kinds of symptoms have you heard about? It'd probably be a good idea to ask again once everyone is together again anyway and get a full headcount of locations and symptoms, but if we start gathering information now we can hit the ground running tomorrow.
[ but yeah, the hiding power usages in symptoms thing... that's not going to be fun. ]
So far there's been the shit that happened to us, people who felt like they had fevers after being near the campsites last night, someone who kept crying from being in the isolation cabin, another guy who kept wanting to play sports...
[Just a very wide range of bullshit, but with the obvious ties to specific locations. Looks like this really is a case of blues clues mansion shenanigans.
Though it's after listing his findings that Sanji stops, glances at her eating the lemon squares, and with barely contained curiosity:]
So... you think they're any good?
[MAYBE SANJI MADE THEM AND HE'S JUST GENTLY INQUIRING. Maybe. But right, back to business]
blinks down at the platter. she kind of just ate it as quickly as possible to confirm that she's not getting any energy or satiation out of it but...
picks up another one and more delicately eats it this time. just to savor it and provide a more accurate opinion. hm. ]
... They're great, actually. ... Though maybe I haven't eaten enough to be sure yet, but I don't think I'm feeling much more full at all either. It almost seems like a waste...
[HM HIS FACE IMMEDIATELY SETS INTO A GRIN, we wonder why.]
No no, you don't need to push yourself! I'd just wondered if maybe I made them a little too acidic with the fresh lemons, especially since I added a key lime in there for flavor.
[Never mind that he's also a bottomless pit of hunger, Sanji still beams at the prospect of a well-cooked dish]
No, no, they're fine. I guess that goes to show what cooking with fresh ingredients can do for something...
[ anyway she's probably going to stop just so that other people, who can actually benefit from eating delicious lemon squares, have a chance because boy. that empty feeling sure isn't going away. ]
... If it's like the mansion, it'll be gone by trial tomorrow. I wouldn't count on it, but just in case.
-- So these... I dunno, "punishments" don't stick around for long, huh?
[Not that he completely agrees with the word he just used, but he can't think of any other way to describe what has happened to his body besides this place smacking the back of his hand for exploring camp grounds after curfew]
I don't know if I'd call them that, exactly. Most of us just got used to calling them curfew effects if we needed to name them. They're sometimes helpful, usually just... somewhat distracting, or irritating.
[ like being smacked on the back of their hands for not sleeping in their beds, yes. ]
They don't tend to be too dangerous that I can recall, but- sometimes they can be unsettling.
Assuming we could. The fact that some places like our own rooms didn't have effects didn't start sinking in until after a few weeks for us, and a few killers did try to use that as a reason for why they weren't affected...
And even if they stayed elsewhere, sometimes they tried to lie about or fake the effect, with mixed results.
[ stares into the camera at several trials which will not be named. ]
Still, you're definitely on to something, considering we used it as one avenue for trying to narrow down suspects in the mansion. Just don't rely on them too much?
Sometimes it can be fairly solid, but I wouldn't get used to relying on it alone. We were figuring it out along the way... but that said, if you see an effect that's hard to fake on Friday, chances are you can probably believe them.
A squad shrouded in mystery. ▓▓▓▓▒ has met them once, and others can only guess at the members' identities from rumors. Members of the squad all have advanced AI and high capacity for independent operation. Rumor has it that Squad 404 usually deals with ░▓▒▓▓▓▒▓▓▒▒▒░░

A way to verify where people were after curfew -- y'know, assuming we can take them at their word.
