[ so she's probably just tiredly shuffling back towards the bonfire and cabins when she comes across one man apparently trying to break down the doors to their three lovely hosts, which. fun. what a mood. ]
... I don't think you're going to make much progress on that front, but I certainly admire the effort?
[ can he really be blamed for wanting to kick down any of the doors? look, he knows that it's pointless but it helps unload the frustrations. all of those assurances and promises that no one was going to die and yet.
and yet. ]
I want to hear what they have to say about all of this.
[ a solid kick to a door once more before he stops. ]
[ that's exactly what he didn't want to hear but sometimes that's just how things go, isn't it? ugh. ]
You're familiar with this set up, right?
[ he can't remember where all who was from where but—she seemed to have things together for the most part. definitely someone who could rub some cells together to form an idea. ]
Unfortunately. [ she sighs a bit, but takes a seat- a little heavily- at one of the benches. ] The rest of the setup- with the competing teams, titles, and powers isn't, but starting from last night when we all got locked in it's all been familiar.
Down to the part where most people can't see any of the evidence until tomorrow, apparently.
[ which is kind of a mixed blessing? they are the majority so if they have an idea of what to do then that should make things easier, right? well. in theory. ]
What was that about evidence that most people can't see?
For whatever reason, only a few people per any given location can actually see... traces, of the evidence that would be there, I suppose. It's usually the first people on the scene, but I've actually spent the night in and woken up in a location that should have been demolished- and saw nothing out of the ordinary.
[ gun!!! room!!! ]
So... for better or worse, it might just be arbitrarily chosen. No one else will see, feel, or smell anything out of place until the trial tomorrow. It's more or less something like a very all-encompassing illusion.
[ you'd think that given how things ended up during trial and everything, that he'd want to stay away from this place but sometimes you just end up wandering around aimlessly in the rain for a while after you watch an innocent person be beat to death.
sometimes....that just happens? either way, when he spots 45, he'll approach her but not really know what to say. words were hard before and now??? he does not have the social skills for this. ]
she's just methodically cataloging the items in the cabin. it's all normal, harmless things, meant for- hell if she knows. it's the isolation cabin but it's set up for a cozy meeting between friends, a sleepover with board games and no actual sleepware. ]
There really aren't any blankets in here. Just the beanbags... Nothing to clean a wound with. Maybe something in the fridge if they were lucky, but probably not.
It's just terrible luck that ended them up that way, after all.
[ 'luck,' like that's all it came down to in the end. ]
[ he'll approach her not quite making himself known as he clearly interrupts whatever she's doing. is talking to herself something she does a lot of? things like that can be helpful...
sometimes people tell him that he just says things but— ]
'Rather than anything premeditated,' would you prefer?
[ whether or not she was originally dressing him in the first place, she certainly is now. ]
It's more succinct than saying 'they were too far isolated to be able to get any help in time, they landed in just a bad enough way to deal an ultimately fatal head wound to a seasoned fighter, one of the two was too civilian to be trained in first aid or what to do in an emergency.' So forth.
[ i'm glad that i'm exhausted while reading this tag because she's saying a lot of things that giyuu is kind of mildly squinting at. or, well, it takes him a moment to realize what she's saying exactly and he just wanders over closer to her. ]
No, I prefer keeping it as "terrible luck". [ and even though she worded it better the second go around: ] It's easier to say.
Pushing it out of mind and compartmentalizing is different from simply forgetting. I think a lot of us do the former, though, whether we're aware of it or not.
[ he really won't argue that if only because he doesn't quite understand what she's talking about but also because he's guilty of it. or, well, was guilty of it. ]
Don't consider me as one of the people who would pushing it out of my mind.
[ a name is but a means to communicate with someone. ]
Giyuu is fine. [ he trails off for a moment to consider his options. 45 or aki? one is a number while the other sounds like an actual name so it's obvious to which one he's going to pic: ] ...Aki.
[ he won't question what he saw on the passport because, well, it's not his was any better. ]
A squad shrouded in mystery. ▓▓▓▓▒ has met them once, and others can only guess at the members' identities from rumors. Members of the squad all have advanced AI and high capacity for independent operation. Rumor has it that Squad 404 usually deals with ░▓▒▓▓▓▒▓▓▒▒▒░░
