Hmm, we're private contractors of a sort. Employers contact us for a variety of potential tasks, ranging from search and rescue, retrieval, and escort to more esoteric things like convincingly faking the public theft of a valuable jewel to deter other would-be thieves.

That said, the jobs we do take are left to my discretion. There's the option of at least a little bit of flexibility, in as much as scheduling downtime goes... but frankly, due to upkeep and maintenance costs I don't have the luxury of just turning down otherwise reasonable requests simply because I wanted to take some time to myself.
