We went in, and immediately a bunch of fierce corpses that looked like people we knew crawled out of the blood pool in the middle of the cave we just stepped into.

Yeah. A cave with a blood pool in the middle. Also a bed. They don't sleep in the blood pool.

Well, never mind that. So. Would you say your excursion was particularly fruitful, or did your breaking and entering just get you a lot of ... fierce corpses for your trouble?

No, the cabin's just a cave on the inside.

[ sigh. ] I don't know. It was mostly just a nightmare. We found a scrapbook of us at the end, and a diary talking about shit that's happened here.

It mostly just made me trust them. Black Shadows, I mean. They're trying to help.

... Yeah, I imagine they are. All signs point to them being as limited as us here, though, if not even moreso in certain ways.

That said, their counsel has remained the same for our entire time here that I know of. If this is a case of them being able to slowly say more as time goes on, I wonder if they don't quite know how to get around all the blocks yet, or if they simply can't say.
