Oh, goodness - more than one, then. I've heard the ones with Hal got nothing at all. Couldn't even examine the bodies or the crime scenes after Friday. We had to find the bodies ourselves too, but at least we were able to look them over more properly during trial.

With us, we watched the very first death happen right before us. They were sick, and fell over the railing... It was just one floor. But the body was taken away before any of us could do anything.

I remember several people were upset about that. We had ,.. medical personnel on site. They thought they might have been able to do something... Failing that, try to figure out what happened before any decomposition set in, I suppose.

No, we found all of our bodies. I think the demons enjoyed watching us come across the disgustingly slaughtered remains of people we'd come to view as friends. [A gentle, sloping shrug. He's not bitter or anything.]

I wasn't keen on that explanation from the start, to be honest! And I haven't been given much more reason to believe in it since then. I think if it wasn't Evan and Tsurumaru, it would have been something else - and I certainly don't think that us ending up here was just a twist of fate.
