Oh, goodness - more than one, then. I've heard the ones with Hal got nothing at all. Couldn't even examine the bodies or the crime scenes after Friday. We had to find the bodies ourselves too, but at least we were able to look them over more properly during trial.
[Honestly this weird death announcement without stumbling across a corpse thing is new and wild.]
With us, we watched the very first death happen right before us. They were sick, and fell over the railing... It was just one floor. But the body was taken away before any of us could do anything.
I remember several people were upset about that. We had ,.. medical personnel on site. They thought they might have been able to do something... Failing that, try to figure out what happened before any decomposition set in, I suppose.
[YIKES. That's a particularly cruel way to go about it, especially since they all know by now that if someone's meant to die in these places, they're gonna die no matter what.]
Hah... Can't blame them for being upset over something like that. Especially when it was your very first experience with what that place was really like, I assume.
I can imagine! I don't like that way of doing things at all. It's a little... [Bad for the crime scenes? Bad for people who don't like thinking about walking through crime scenes accidentally? Bad for people who like sticking their nose into everyone else's business and don't like not knowing what's happening??]
--Mm, well. At least it isn't anything none of us have experienced.
No, we found all of our bodies. I think the demons enjoyed watching us come across the disgustingly slaughtered remains of people we'd come to view as friends. [A gentle, sloping shrug. He's not bitter or anything.]
But on top of that, the ocean spat back up anything and anyone that was tossed over.
["Sex demons, gross" is exactly a mood. He huffs, and it might be a bit of a laugh.]
From one headache of a mess to another to another! Being alive brings all sorts of troubles, doesn't it? [But he doesn't say it in a PUT ME IN THE DIRT way, at least.]
I will say, it makes it very hard to feel a scrap of charity toward whatever is responsible for dragging us into this place, mm.
[Even if it is troublesome... Hm. He couldn't say he disagrees with that, either way, so he just hums a little in turn. As for their PORTAL MISHAP:]
I wasn't keen on that explanation from the start, to be honest! And I haven't been given much more reason to believe in it since then. I think if it wasn't Evan and Tsurumaru, it would have been something else - and I certainly don't think that us ending up here was just a twist of fate.
A squad shrouded in mystery. ▓▓▓▓▒ has met them once, and others can only guess at the members' identities from rumors. Members of the squad all have advanced AI and high capacity for independent operation. Rumor has it that Squad 404 usually deals with ░▓▒▓▓▓▒▓▓▒▒▒░░

Did it ever turn out that you couldn't find someone? You were on a boat, weren't you? What stopped a demon from just... throwing the body overboard?

Do you think it was something other than a simple portal mishap, then? And that we didn't just bring this upon ourselves with an accident of a kill?
