[ i don't know what time it is because the other group is coming back but that's actually happening earlier, what the fuck.
anyway i guess this is in the evening. before curfew. 45's going to be looking for the non-flayn components of her little adventuring party, because hm. where are you at, lili, because 45's going to call out to her, and- ]
Hey. Listen. If you'd rather not talk to me right now, all things considered, or need to recuperate or whatever, I get it, and I won't bother you.
But. Whatever happened in there might or might not be important, and I'm not about to bother Flayn with this when she's still recovering from whatever it is you all went through, so. If you'd be willing to offer any details, it'd be appreciated.
[lili is by the bonfire, trying to speed dry before curfew. but because it's 45, lili's answer is simple:]
And explain to me why you think you're owed any information that I'm perfectly capable of dispensing myself to people who aren't careless about how they share things that are vital to others to know. You're competent, but you're infuriating. But I'll give you a chance to make your case.
As for the other two - don't bother Flayn, Yin Yu can give a report. But the three of us were separated, and my experiences are my own.
[so if 45 wants lili's side without having to siphon off of another party, she's going to need to ask lili.]
Oh, I'm well aware I'm not owed or entitled to anything. That's why I'm asking if you're willing. Just because we all have to work together doesn't mean we have to do so directly, if you don't care for it.
[ The fact that the things she does are, in fact, calculated- well, that's besides the point. ]
'Competent but infuriating' is hardly the worst I've heard others call me. I won't beg your forgiveness for what I did because I stand by it in that particular situation, even if I do understand where you're coming from about the actual execution. And I've already said I'll hardly do anything similar again.
This, however, since it concerns you more directly- if you choose to keep it more private, or inform others on your own terms then so be it, I'll respect that.
Edited (me, tiredly: oh yeah she said that too) 2020-06-19 03:17 (UTC)
That wasn't my case. That was a preamble to give you a chance to send me away.
[ but she hasn't, so. ]
My 'case' is that whether you believe in my judgment and sincerity or not, my goal is to get as many of us out of here as possible. When this happened in the mansion we were poorly prepared for what to expect and oftentimes ended up severely injured, though at the very least we had a variety of items to stave off the worst of it, usually. But we can hardly expect to rely on such things here, and whatever you think of me, I'd like to see someone dying in this place as little as you do.
Knowledge and information are basically the only weapons we can arm ourselves with at the moment, so that's why I'm asking. And if this happens again in the future, even in the event that things turn out poorly I'd rather know that we at least tried to prepare ourselves for whatever this place may try to use against us and failed, instead of simply going in blindly and being caught unawares because I was too prideful to ask or some sort of nonsense like that. Even a little foreknowledge is better than nothing.

But this 'case' you're making mostly sounds like a concession?
[like she doesn't hear 45 actually explaining why she wants to know what happened to lili, so she's kind of tempted to just let her go on her way?]
